Ovagen

Original price was: $80.00.Current price is: $75.00.

Ovagen is a synthetic tripeptide (Glu-Asp-Leu, EDL) from the short-peptide bioregulator series developed at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. It was identified by UHPLC-MS within a liver polypeptide preparation and is now produced synthetically; it is a defined synthetic peptide, not an extract. Despite the name, the published work on EDL concerns liver and kidney cells, not the ovary. It has the molecular formula C15H25N3O8 and a molecular weight of approximately 375.37 g/mol. Its sequence is Glu-Asp-Leu (EDL). In the published literature EDL is reported to increase proliferation and alter expression of cell-cycle regulators in cultured renal cells and to stimulate hepatocyte proliferation in rodent liver explants; the DNA interaction described is a docking model, not a solved structure. The CAS number commonly printed for this product (9046-70-2) belongs to ovine follicle-stimulating hormone, an unrelated veterinary product also sold as “Ovagen”, and is omitted here. Supplied as a white to off-white lyophilized powder, stored refrigerated at 2–8 °C. This product is strictly for research purposes only.
