SLU-PP-332 is a synthetic small molecule, not a peptide: an acylhydrazone formed from naphthalene-2-carbaldehyde and 4-hydroxybenzohydrazide, with the systematic name (E)-4-hydroxy-N′-(naphthalen-2-ylmethylene)benzohydrazide. It has the molecular formula C18H14N2O2, a molecular weight of 290.32 g/mol and CAS number 303760-60-3. First characterized at Saint Louis University, it is described in the primary literature as a pan-agonist of the estrogen-related receptors ERRα, ERRβ and ERRγ, with the highest reported potency at ERRα. The planar naphthalene–phenol scaffold makes it poorly water-soluble; it dissolves in DMSO. Supplied as a solid powder in 5mg and 10mg vials, stored frozen at −20 °C and protected from light. This product is strictly for research purposes only.
