Crystagen

Original price was: $80.00.Current price is: $75.00.

Crystagen is a synthetic tripeptide (Glu-Asp-Pro, EDP) from the short-peptide bioregulator series developed at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. It was identified by UHPLC-MS as a constituent of Thymalin, a calf-thymus polypeptide preparation, and is now produced synthetically; it is a defined synthetic peptide, not an extract. Despite the name, the published work on Crystagen concerns immune tissue (thymus and spleen), not the lens of the eye. It has the molecular formula C14H21N3O8 and a molecular weight of approximately 359.33 g/mol. Its sequence is Glu-Asp-Pro (EDP). In the published literature EDP is reported to stimulate proliferation in cultured aged thymic epithelial cells and lymphocytes and to alter chromatin condensation in cultured lymphocytes. Note that a PubChem name search for “Glu-Asp-Pro” returns a D-proline diastereomer; the all-L peptide is CID 23624313. Supplied as a white to off-white lyophilized powder, stored refrigerated at 2–8 °C. This product is strictly for research purposes only.
