TB-500 is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the 43-amino-acid sequence of thymosin beta-4, a small protein originally isolated from calf thymus, approximately 4,963 g/mol. KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide (Lys-Pro-Val) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone, 342.43 g/mol.
